"Whistlers"
At the beginning of the year, one of my students asked if I knew of any new ways of working with clay that she had not explored yet. I remembered a workshop a few years ago in which the potter molded clay around a broom stick to make wall hangings. As I played around with the idea, one thing led to another and the whistlers were born.
One look at their face and you can figure out why they are called whistlers. They could have easily been called howlers, but they became whistlers because of one of my whistling students.
The patterns on them are pretty much random based on several hand made tools that I use. Although they are all flat chested and bald, some are male and some are female.
